Procedures for residence

If foreigners wish to enter or make a long stay in Japan, they are required to acquire status of residence depending on their activities in which they engage, their positions, or their posts.
When they plan to enter Japan, they can apply to immigration bureau for a certificate of eligibility for status of residence in advance, to acquire visa at diplomatic offices abroad including Japanese Embassy and Japanese Consulate General (except for shot stay).
The period of stay is provided in status of residence (except for permanent residents), so they are required to apply for permission for extension the period of stay, or apply for permission for change status of residence when trying to engage in activities not permitted under current status of residence, or when being in positions or posts not permitted under current status of residence.
They can also apply to immigration bureau for re-entry, for engagement in activity outside scope permitted, or a certificate of work qualification, where necessary.
We, at Suzuki Office of Legal, can help with procedures for residence for foreigners, from consulting about it to preparing application forms, applying to immigration bureau for residence on behalf of them.We can also do visa consulting to help you employ foreigners.
